Helix3 Operations Director, Marie Vasquez is a genetic toxicologist with over 15 years of experience in molecular biology and genetic toxicology. While working with Dr. Raymond Tice, Ms. Vasquez developed the first comet assay protocols and applications for regulatory safety testing.
Since 1994, the Helix3 team has specialized in developing protocols integrating the comet assay into the standard in vitro and in vivo tests required by regulatory agencies. These Helix3 innovations minimize the use of resources while maximizing the information obtained from a single study. |

Together, the Helix3 staff has conducted more GLP comet assay studies than anyone in the world. Their experience with new assay development, research, and conducting genetox studies all according to GLP guidelines has been the basis for collaborations with scientists worldwide to develop new techniques for mechanistic and efficacy research applications.
