Mobile Comet Unit
The Helix3 Mobile Comet Unit provides GLP compliant onsite comet sample processing and analysis services to clients with special test system and/or exposure requirements.
To determine the potential health risk of some exposures, special (and often limited) test system and/or exposure requirement studies (e.g., field studies, inhalation studies) may be necessary. While freezing has been proven to be an acceptable means of storing comet samples, DNA integrity can not be sufficiently maintained should the comet samples require shipping by air for processing and analysis.

The Helix3 Mobile Unit travels to any facility worldwide and arrives with all the staff, equipment, and supplies necessary to process fresh comet samples from any ongoing study. These processes are all conducted according to FDA and OECD regulations as well as host facility Health & Safety guidelines. Therefore, comet components can be added to any study (including but not limited to pharmacokinetic and toxicology studies) with little or no disruption to existing host facility operations or staff.
